A massive thank you to Beanie The Jet for having me perform on the Filthy Friday stage and teach my Old School Pole Dance workshop as part of this all-weekend event!
For folks who are not familiar with Filthy Friday, it is the first inclusive pole dance showcase in the UK that celebrates diversity in all it’s glorious forms. Created by Beanie the Jet, it has become an important institution in the pole world (specifically in the UK).
I was made to feel so welcome as someone from outside of the UK scene, but also as someone who is a fellow ‘misfit’ as Beanie lovingly calls all of us who identify with Filthy Friday and it’s mission.
